NEPSE RECOUP BY 2.11 POINTS--OUT OF RANGE NLG TRANSACTIONS REVOKED

Following the yesterday’s correction of more than 8 points, the market index today recoup by 2.11 points to close at 511.61 levels,

The decline in Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC), closed at Rs 539, today also pulled the market down twice but the ascend in the shares of Insurance and Hydro facilitated in paving the bullish path for the local bus at the end of the day.

Hydro and Insurance both made a hefty rally by 21.31 and 10.05 points respectively. Likewise, Banking and Development also followed the bullish path with gain of 3.02 and 0.89 points respectively.

Whereas, descend in NTC today also attributed to the 3.52 point loss in Others sector. Similarly, the Finance sector also dropped by 0.08 points.

Under Insurance, the much awaited trading of NLG Insurance Co. Ltd. commenced from today with listing of 2,250,000 shares  and stock symbol “ NLG”.

The scrip closing price at the end of the day was Rs 275.Though the scrip traded  reached up to the level of Rs 335 by the end of the session, Nepse cancel all those transactions as the brokers had carried out transactions beyond the day’s range set by Nepse.


As per the rule, Nepse validated only one transaction of 10 units conducted at Rs 275 and all other transactions were revoked.

All in all, the scrips of 85 companies were traded, out of which 32 scrips gained, 16 remained intact and 37 scrips lost.

The best performer for the day was, NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA), closed at Rs 609, was the top gainer with Rs 55 or 9.93% gain. Whereas, Gandaki Bikas Bank Limited (GDBL), closed at Rs 108, was the top loser with Rs 39 or 26.53% loss.

The price adjustment by Nepse for the right share declared by the GDBL in the ratio of 1:0.28 mainly caused scrip to tumble by more than 10% today.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.06, topped with 74,628 units. In case of ordinary scrips Nepal Credit And Com. Bank (NCCB), closed at Rs 218, topped with 87,110 units.

In terms of turnover, NABIL Bank Limited Promoter Share (NABILP), closed at Rs 1080, topped with 17,670 units worth Rs 18,948,820 via 17 transactions.

Among ordinary scrips, NCCB topped with turnover worth Rs 18,506,400 via 215 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of NCCB   was Broker No 8 (Ashutosh Brokerage & Securities Pvt. Limited) with 24.21%; amounting Rs 8,963,220 via 110 transactions totaling 42,260 units which includes 15 matching transactions tallying 3,600 units worth Rs 763,250.

Overall 274,107 units of share were traded via 927 transactions worth Rs 82,349,016. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 507,919.06 Millions.
