NEPSE RECOUP BY 1.17 POINTS

Following the back to back drop to the Nepse level, the market index today recouped by 1.17 points to close at 494.3 levels.
Though the local bourse didn’t make an impressive start, the volatility in the second hour kept the market energetic and interesting. However, by the end of the session, selling pressure in the high levels limited the Nepse level to today’s closing.
The sub-indices that supported in today’s Nepse growth were Hotels with huge surge of 40.01 points followed by Hydro with an incline of 8.59 points. Similarly, Insurance contributed with 2.8 point gain and Banking with 0.63 point ascent. Only, Development and Finance suffered a loss of 0.52 and 0.16 points respectively. As for Others, it remained intact at 622.7 levels.
Overall, the scrips of 87 companies were traded, out of which 31 scrips gained, 17 remained intact and 39 scrips lost.
The best performer for the day was, Soaltee Hotel Ltd. (SHL), closed at Rs 292, with Rs 26 or 9.77% gain. Whereas, Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), closed at Rs 1160, was the worst performer with Rs 421 or 26.63% loss. More than 10% drop in CIT was mainly because of the adjustment of 38.89% bonus share in the price level of the company by Nepse following the book closure on 28th June, 2013.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.95, topped with 55,313 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd. (CTBNL), closed at Rs 141, topped with 43,299 units.
In terms of turnover, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1130, topped with 25,500 units worth Rs 28,573,148 via 57 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of CHCL was Broker No 22 (Siprabi Securities Pvt. Limited) with 23.25%; amounting Rs. 13,290,056 via 14 transactions totaling 11,852 units which includes 1 matching transactions tallying 1,000 units worth Rs 1,120,000.
Overall, 307,619 units of shares were traded via 1,109 transactions worth Rs 82,218,303.The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 489,764.67 Millions.
