NEPSE RECOUP BY 0.86 POINTS

Countering the yesterday’s fall, the secondary market of Nepal today zigzagged its way upward by 0.86 points to close at 548.46 levels.
Though the sentiment of investors is still in a wary situation after the change of policy related to paid up capital by NRB, the investors still seek to be attracted towards other remaining scrips which are whatsoever not affected by the NRB decision.
Driven by such sentiment, the investors today made the most out of the yesterday correction in banking and Hydro scrips alongside Insurance scrips. Among the three sectors, Insurance and Hydro made a leap of 10.4 points and 5.83 points respectively followed by Banking with 0.87 point gain and Finance with 0.01 point growth.
While, Hotels dropped by 5.48 points alongside 1.06 declines of Development. As for Others sector, it remained intact at 663.81 levels.
All in all, 111 scrips were traded, out of which 43 scrips gained, 20 remained intact and 48 scrips lost.
The share with the highest gain in today’s session was, Janaki Finance Ltd. (JFL), closed at Rs 278, with Rs 18 or 6.92 percent growth. Whereas, Axis Development Bank Limited (AXIS), closed at Rs 84, was the worst performer for the day with a loss of Rs 9 or 9.68 percent.
Chilime Hydropower Co. Ltd. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1580, today also ruled the market with the highest turnover. The company has a wonderful track record of price recovery following price adjustment after the book closure date which has mesmerized the investors in actively buying this company’s shares even at the current high level. The book closure date for the company’s 30 percent bonus share and 10 percent is on 13th September.
Altogether, 27,055 units of shares were traded through 215 transactions worth Rs 42,580,171. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of CHCL was Broker No 22 (Siprabi Securities Pvt. Limited) with 10.33%; amounting Rs 8,796,378 via 47 transactions totaling 5,592 units which include 14 matching transactions tallying 616 units worth Rs 967,478.
Overall, 468,501 units of shares were traded by 2,482 transactions with total turnover worth Rs 177,252,579; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 550,482.01 million.
