NEPSE REBOUNCED BY 1.4 POINTS

After days of tumble, the market today bounced back with 1.4 points. Though the local bourse was seesawing for the most part of the trading session, the increase in the buying pressure at the end of the session engulfed the benchmark index far beyond the sideways range to settle at 488.93 levels.

In the sub-groups, Banking and Hydro made the equal jump of 2.96 points each. Similarly, Finance was another sector with a gain of 0.21 points. While, Insurance made the highest tumble of 2.47 points followed by Others with 2.35 point plunge. Likewise, Hotels suffered a loss of 0.76 points and Development dropped by 0.37 points. As for Manufacturing , it today also remained intact at 878.17 levels.

Overall there were trades of 86 scrips among which 38 scrips increased 19 remained intact and 29 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), closed at Rs 202, with Rs 18 or 9.78% gain. Whereas, Reliable Finance Limited (RIBSL), closed at Rs 104, was the worst performer with Rs 10 or 8.77% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.90, topped with 93,360 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 290, topped with 30,628 units.

In terms of turnover also, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB) topped turnover worth Rs 8,744,287 via 60 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of NBB was Broker No 10 (Pragyan Securities Pvt. Limited) with 57.86%; amounting Rs. 10,120,500 via 51 transactions totaling 35,500 units which includes 15 matching transactions tallying 11,500 units worth Rs 3,277,500.

Altogether there were trade of 386,010 units of share via 1094 transactions worth Rs 70,471,932; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 484,453.97 Millions.
