NEPSE REACH 51 TRADING DAYS HIGH

The market index today breached the 500 mark to surpass the previous resistance level of 503.65 levels created on 27th May, 2013.
With the today’s boost of 4.68 points, the market now sustains at the 51 trading days’ pinnacle. The easing off of the fiscal year end pressure along with the anticipation of good returns from the companies in the upcoming fiscal year has led to setting a positive vibe in the market.
The Nepse index today closed at 505.61 levels.
The main contribution in today’s Nepse growth came from the Banking sector, as it surges by a hefty 6.08 points. Similarly, Insurance followed with 13.8 point gain and Hydro with a 5.56 points incline. Likewise, Development and Finance also propelled by 1.3 and 1.77 points respectively alongside Others with a 2.35 point jump.
While, Hotel today also continued to drop as it came down by 2.27 points. As for Manufacturing, it remained intact at 879.1 levels.
All in all, the scrips of 90 companies were traded, out of which 55 scrips gained, 12 remained intact and 23 scrips lost. The shares of Pathivara Bikas Bank Ltd. (PBSL) and Srijana Finance Ltd. (SFFIL) were suspended from today as both the companies are going in the merger process with each other.
The best performer for the day was, Shree Investment Finance Co. Ltd (SIFC), closed at Rs 243, with Rs 22 or 9.95% gain. Whereas, Himalayan Finance Limited (Bittiya Sanstha) (HFL), closed at Rs 41.69, was the worst performer with Rs 4.43 or 9.61% loss. Among the shares trading above par, Bishwa Bikas Bank Limited (BSBL), closed at Rs 119, was the top loser with Rs 6 or 4.8% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.85, topped with 146,231 units. In case of ordinary scrips trading above par, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 295, topped with 14,219 units.
In terms of turnover, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1139, topped with 13,272 units worth Rs 15,068,635 via 87 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of CHCL was Broker No 10 (Pragyan Securities Pvt. Limited) with 19.48%; amounting Rs. 5,869,345 via 38 transactions totaling 5,171 units, which include 1 matching transaction tallying 400 units worth Rs 453,600.
Overall 462,090 units of share were traded via 1,211 transactions worth Rs 85,199,472. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 500,978.38 Millions.
