NEPSE Publicizes Records of OTC Market Transaction for FY 079-80; 206 Companies Registered as of Now

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has unveiled the records of the Over the Counter (OTC) transactions for the financial year 2079-80.
According to NEPSE, as of now 206 companies are registered and operational in the OTC market.
Among the 206 registered companies in the OTC market in FY 2079-80, a total of 84 company's shares were traded. According to NEPSE, a total of 2,12,64,095 shares of the companies exchanged hands.
The transactions of the shares for the companies in the said amount has amount to a market capitalizition of Rs. 2.85 Arba.
In the same amnner, it has been learnt via NEPSE that the transactions have generated a revenue of Rs. 5.29 crores in the form of Capital Gain Tax (CGT); levied on profit from share transactions.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has developed the OTC Market platform, which is running since 2064 B.S. "In line with the notification of the Office of the Company Registrar dated Magh 18,2072; the public companies which are not listed in the stock exchange due to reasons including de-listing, failure to fulfill criterias for listing can conduct share transactions and transfer through the OTC market."
