NEPSE plunges 9.61 points; turnover below Rs 200 million

NEPSE index moved further more down by 9.61 points or 1.02 percent on the first trading day of this week to close at 928.35 level.

NEPSE Sensitive and Float also dipped by 0.99% and 1.16% to close at 198.84 and 66.35 levels respectively.

Trading of shares like PCBL and CHCL were traded most today. PCBL alone was traded 12.63 percent of total turnover.

Total turnover of the day stood at Rs 175.90 million where 645,758 million shares were traded of 117 scrips.

“Market index is having correction and will reach at certain equilibrium point soon” said one of the Market analyst.

Among the sub-indices, Banking (817.54), Development (772.82) and Finance (520.80) plunged by 9.75 points, 4.86 points and 2.28 points respectively.

Hotels (1832.04) and HydroPower (2106.76) dropped by 12.75 points and 38.09 points respectively.

Insurance (3794.52) and Others (722.53) dipped 67.33 points and 1.17 point respectively.

Manufacturing gained 19.82 points to close at 1552.94 level.

Share Price of SLBBL, SUPREME and MLBBL surged more than 5 percent today whereas share price of NEFL, PFL, LGIL dropped by more than 5 percent.
