NEPSE PLUNGE BY 0.35 POINTS

The market today came down by 0.35 points to close at 497.46 levels. The local bourse after making a trade slight above the yesterday’ closing continued its progress with a sideways movement between the ranges of 497 to 498.7 levels before coming to halt at today’s closing level.

Among the sub-indices, only Development and Finance made a surge of 3.43 and 0.71 points respectively.
Whereas, Hotels made highest tumble of 16.25 points followed by Insurance with loss of 0.73 points. Similarly, Banking stumble by 0.3 points and Hydro declined by 0.48 points. As for Others sector, it remained intact at 634.44 levels.

Overall there were trades of 87 scrip among which 35 scrip increased 12 remained intact and 40 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Arun Finance Limited (ARUN), closed at Rs 45.13, with Rs 4.1 or 9.99% gain. Among the shares trading above par, Miteri Development Bank Limited  (MDB), closed at Rs 140, was the top gainer with Rs 9 or 6.87% gain. Whereas, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 296, was the worst performer with Rs 22 or 6.92% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1) , closed at Rs 10.75, topped with 76,972 units. In terms of ordinary scrips, Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd. (CTBNL), closed at Rs 143, topped with 31,288 units. In case of turnover, Standard Chartered Bank Ltd. (SCB), closed at Rs 1815, topped with 4,646 units Rs 8,380,432 via 26 transactions; in which Broker no 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active Broker with 32.17% stand alone dealing of the SCB, tallying 3,007 units worth Rs 5,392,385 via 10 transactions which includes one matching transactions of 501 units worth Rs 884,265.

Altogether there were trade of 244,259 units of share via 1,145 transactions worth Rs 65,231,439; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 492,981.64 Millions.
