NEPSE PLUNGE 3.32 POINTS

Despite the publication of healthy third quarter report of the Banking and Financial Institutions like GBIME, NCCB and NMB, the market today also couldn’t revive in the green terrain. After the increment near to the level of 510 levels in the initial hour, the market started to fall and came down to the lowest level of 502.97 before closing at 505.04 levels; the local bourse compare to the prior day’s level plunged by 3.32 points
Though the financial report of GBIME, NCCB and NMB were encouraging reports to investors, the high selling presence in the market paved a path for disappointing turn of event in the market. All three companies have maintained a healthy growth of 109.54%, 107.18% and 284.68% with net profit of Rs 361.01 million, Rs 238.87 million and 266.20 million respectively. As for the price movement in the individual scrips, GBIME lost Rs 8, NCCB gained Rs 5 and NMB inclined by Rs 6.
Among the sub-indices, apart from Hotels sector all settled in the red zone, the Hotels sector closed intact at 505.04 levels. As for Banking and Financial sub-indices, Banking suffered a loss of 4 points, Development dropped 1.27 points and Finance tumbled by 1.69 points.
Similarly, Hydro stumbled by 7.86 points following the descent in the level of Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) and National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC) by Rs 8 and Rs 7 respectively. Likewise, Insurance also fell by 5.52 points whereas Others decreased by 2.35 points.
Overall there were trades of 80 scrips among which 15 scrips increased 17 remained intact and 48 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Purnima Bikas Bank Limited (PURBL), closed at Rs 70, with Rs 3 or 4.48% gain. Whereas, National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC), closed at Rs 70, was the worst performer with Rs 7 or 9.09% loss.
Among the ordinary scrips trading above par, Kamana Bikas Bank Limited (KMBL), closed at Rs 132, was the top gainer with Rs 4 or 3.51% gain whereas, Subhechha Bikas Bank Limited (SUBBL), closed at Rs 101, was the top loser with Rs 10 or 9.01% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded and turnover, National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC) topped with 173,321 units worth Rs 12,280,760 via 96 transactions. Among the ordinary shares trading above par, Civil Bank Ltd (CBL) had the highest transactions with 14,562 units.
In terms of highest turnover, Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), closed at Rs 1560, topped with 4,716 units worth Rs 7,263,482 via 24 transactions; in which Broker no 35 (Kohinoor Investment and Securities Pvt.Ltd) was the most active Broker with 48.47% stand alone dealing of EBL, tallying 2,300 units worth Rs 3,520,845 via 2 selling transactions.
Altogether there were trades of 448,742 units of shares via 1,066 transactions worth Rs 90,356,994; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 492,393.34 Millions
