NEPSE Plummets 20.56 Points To Settle at 2,544.59; Only One Sector Close at Green While Overall Turnover Stood at 3.84 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 20.56 points (0.80% ) to settle at 2,544.59. This follows a 3.21 point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2565.78, touching an intraday high of 2,569.52, while the lowest point was 2,540.24. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 3.84 Arba, with 8,404,616 shares traded across 321 companies through 66,824 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.71 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.46 Kharba.

 

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 40.34 crores. The stock closed at Rs.1,995.00.


Two scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.


Meanwhile, Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited (DHEL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.72%.

 

Among sectors, Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 0.23%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 2.35%.
