NEPSE Open First Trading Day After Tihar With 1.39 Points Gain; Himalayan Distillery Sees Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 1.39 points, or 0.07%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,853.48 points. The index faced a loss of 11.85 points on the last trading day before the Tihar break.
The index opened trading at 1852.29 and had an intraday low of 1,846.52 whereas, the intraday high made was 1,873.34.
44,727 trades involving 284 distinct stocks were made during today's session. With a total turnover of Rs. 1.09 Arba, 3,319,558 units of shares were traded. With a float market capitalization of Rs. 9.97 Kharba, the market capitalization was Rs. 28.55 Kharba.
At a market price of Rs. 1,737, Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) finished with the highest turnover of Rs. 7.36 crores.
Likewise, today's top gainer was Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (GILB), at 9.98%, followed by Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) at 9.96%.
Conversely, today's biggest loss were recorded by Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) and Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) at 10% each.
All sector indexes closed in the green, with the exception of "Hotels And Tourism Index, Manufacturing And Processing, Microfinance Index, and Others Index". Meanwhile, "Trading Index" saw the most daily gain of 1.42%, while "Manufacturing And Processing" saw the biggest loss of 1.91%.
