NEPSE Open First Trading Day After Dashain With 2.19% Loss; Overall Turnover Stood at 4.62 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 58.55 points (2.19%) to settle at 2,604.96. This follows a 11.51 -point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,662.51, touching an intraday high of 2,664.99, while the lowest point was 2,596.04. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.62 Arba, with 10,345,903 shares traded across 326 companies through 55,450 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.54 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.82 Kharba.

 

Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 28.31 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 508.00.


Century Debenture 2088 (CCBD88) led the gainer's list with 10.00%.

 

Meanwhile, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.99%.

 

Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest loss, losing 4.83%, while the Mutual fund saw the least loss at 0.88%.
