NEPSE MOVES WITHIN ONE POINT RANGE ONLY

The lack of enthusiasm among investors slows the Nepse performance in today’s trade. The Nepse benchmark index which usually moves within the range of more than 2 to 3 points, today traded between the one point range of 497.8 to 498.8 levels only .Following the trade below the yesterday’s level, the lack of participation kept the local bourse fluctuating between the one point range, lastly to close at 498.24 points; losing 0.22 points at the end.

Among the sub-indices, Hydro came to make a hefty gain of 11.24 points followed by Hotels and Development with 2.25 and 0.72 points respectively. Whereas, Insurance today also continued to fall as it lost 8.84 points. Similarly, Finance made a downhill of 2.11 points alongside Banking and Others with a loss of 0.09 and 1.17 points respectively.

Overall there were trades of 82 scrips among which 36 scrips increased 17 remained intact and 29 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited   (AHPC), closed at Rs 305, with Rs 25 or 8.93% gain. Whereas, Sagarmatha Insurance Co. Ltd (SIC), closed at Rs 1181, was the worst performer with Rs 124 or 9.50% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1) , closed at Rs 10.43, topped with 49,547 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Civil Bank Ltd (CBL), closed at Rs 150, topped with 67,545 units. In terms of turnover also CBL topped with turnover worth Rs 9,974,253 via 60 transactions. The most active Broker with the highest stand-alone dealing of CBL was Broker no 35 (Kohinoor Investment and Securities Pvt. Ltd) with 77.42%, tallying 105,000 units worth Rs 1,5445,000 via 8 transactions which includes 2 matching transactions totaling 50,000 units worth Rs 7,350,000.

Altogether there were trade of 305,764 units of share via 893 transactions worth Rs 68,243,451; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 493,672. Millions.
