NEPSE MOVES SIDEWAYS

The high volatility seen in the prior days came to siege today as the sideways movement, dangled the market index between the bull and the bear run.
In the initial one half hour, the market kept swinging within the opening level, and then it came to make a correction to the level of 531 levels. But, at the end, the secondary market came to embrace the green terrain.
Today, the local bourse added 0.08 points to close at 532.97 levels.
In the sub-indices, Others sector took a dip of 7.04 points followed by correction of 4.12 points in Hotels. Similarly, Development also lost 1.36 points.
While, Insurance made a surge of 15.93 points followed by Hydro with 5.37 point gain. Likewise, Finance Banking and Trading inclined by 4.22, 0.27 and 2.87 points respectively.
All in all, the scrips of 96 companies were traded, out of which 44 scrips gained, 9 remained intact and 43 scrips lost.
Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), closed at Rs 1298, Sagarmatha Insurance Co. Ltd (SIC) , closed at Rs 682, and Shikhar Insurance Co. Ltd. (SICL), closed at Rs 440, were the best performers for the today with the gain of Rs 118 or 10% , Rs 62 or 10% and Rs 40 or 10% respectively. Whereas, Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL), closed at Rs 176, was the top loser with Rs 14 or 7.37% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.02, topped with 5,874 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Nepal Credit And Com. Bank (NCCB), closed at Rs 235, topped with 32,882 units.
In terms of turnover also, NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA), closed at Rs 737, topped with 23,541 units worth Rs 17,395,383 via 176 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of NICA was Broker No 39 (Sumeru Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 12.38%; amounting Rs 4,307,271 via 32 transactions totaling 5,829 units which includes 1matching transaction tallying 980 units worth Rs 724,220.
Overall, 310,648 units of share were traded by 1,489 transactions worth Rs 114,378,879; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 529,908.45 million.
