Nepse moved up by 0.15%
Sharesansar, 22nd August: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) today also went up by meager gain. The benchmark index today moved between the range of 395.5 to 397 level. In the initial the market came down to the level of 395.5 level and as the session progressive, the trading of Hotels, Hydro, Insurance and Others carried the Nepse up to 397 level but the decline in the Banking, Development and Finance drag the Nepse to 396.83 level only adding 0.58 points for the day.
In the session today, Tourism Development Bank Ltd. (TDBL) which was listed in Nepse in prior week, saw its share traded. The Stock moved between the range of Rs 177 to 180 and settled at Rs 17.Whereas, City Development Bank Ltd.(CDBL) which had the highest transaction of 102 times, was the top gainer with Rs 14 or 9.4%. The scrip of CDBL closed at Rs 163.Likewise, Hama Merchant and Finance Ltd. (HAMA), settled at Rs 149, was the Top Loser with Rs 14 or 7.45%.
Similarly, in terms of highest share traded and turnover, Bank of Kathmandu (BOK), settled at Rs 592, topped with 16,398 units worth Rs 9,744,825; in which Broker No 44 (Dynamic Money Managers Securities Pvt.Ltd) was the most active broker with 54.72% stand alone dealing of BOK, amounting Rs 5,332,330 of 8,983 units via 47 transactions in which 1 was matching transaction of 76 units worth Rs 46,132.
Sectoral wise, all the Banking and Financial Institutions indices were in lost. Among which Finance sector suffered the most with 0.21% points loss followed by Banking and Development sector with 0.2% and 0.04% points respectively. On the other hand, Hydro added the most points as it gained 1.37% points followed by Hotels, Others and Insurance with 1.01%, 0.74% and 0.21%. Sensitive index rose by 0.13 or 0.13% points to rest at 102.11 level while Float index dropped by 0.061 or 0.2% points to close at 30.37 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 87 with 32 gainers and 38 losers with total turnover of Rs 46,547,850 which is comparatively Rs 12,841,812 or 21.62% lower than prior trading session. Overall 149,160 units of shares were traded via 1411 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 375,529.44 Millions.
