NEPSE MAKES YET ANOTHER HEFTY GROWTH

Fueled by the positive political hint, the market today came to witness yet another hefty growth of 9.19 points. The market today closed at 831.86 level.
With the Prime Minister Sushil Koirala showing flexibility in his stand, regarding allocating Home Ministry Portfolio to CPN-UML, the investor confidence soar up further today in expectation of end of haggle between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML over power sharing issues.
In addition, the likely possibility of appointment of ministers into the cabinet has propelled the investors’ confidence more. Attributed by these factors, the secondary witnessed a healthy demand in most of the traded scrips today.
The investors’ craziness towards insurance and hydro scrips continued to prevail in today’s market also as both sectors surged by massive double digits figures. Hydro today inclined by 79.57 points and Insurance made a jump of 46.42 points.
Similarly, Banking sector scrips, which were witnessing meagre gain in prior week’s bull run, today came to experience escalating increment as the sub-index surged by 8.73 points. Likewise, Development and Finance continued with their rally as both added 4.15 and 12.54 points respectively.
As for Hotels, it today recovered 1.3 point while Others suffered a loss of 9.4 points.
Altogether there were trade of 126 scrips, among which 73 scrips gained, 18 scrips remained intact and 35 scrips suffered loss.
The best performers among the traded scrips were Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), closed at Rs 3821, and Kalika Microfinance Development Bank Ltd. (KMCDB), closed at Rs 760, with a gain of 9.99 percent i.e. Rs 347 and Rs 369 respectively. Whereas, Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL), closed at Rs 480, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 37 or 7.16 percent.
The company with the highest turnover in today’s session was Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1700, with turnover of Rs 44,736,555, totaling 26,476 units which were traded through 166 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of CHCL was Broker No 14 (Nepal Stock House Pvt. Limited) with 15.48 percent standalone dealing, totaling 8,157 units worth Rs 13,852,476 via 39 transactions, which include two matching transactions tallying 470 units worth Rs 800,052.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 426,095,079, with total number of shares traded at 988,514 units which were traded through 2,928 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 847,391.84 Millions.
