NEPSE MAKES SLIGHT GAIN

The Nepse benchmark index continued with its low volatility as the market movement ranged less than one point today also. The market index following the trade from yesterday’s closing level, started to plunge after few minutes of opening and continued do so for the most part of the session. It was only in the last hour the local bourse bounced back to make meager gain of 0.11 points to close at 498.35 levels.
As for the movement of sub-indices, Banking jumped by 0.41 points followed by Finance and Insurance with soar of 0.61 and 0.65 points respectively. Whereas one of the sub-indices related to Banking and Financial Institutions, i.e. Development plunged by 0.12 points. Likewise, Hotels made a fall of 1.13 points and Hydro dropped by 6.04 points. While, Manufacturing and Other sub-group remained intact at 876.46 and 628.57 levels respectively.
Overall there were trades of 84 scrips among which 30 scrips increased, 22 remained intact and 32 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Axis Development Bank Limited (AXIS), closed at Rs 83, with Rs 5 or 6.41% gain. Among the shares trading above par, International Leasing And Fin. Co. (ILFC), closed at Rs 115, was the top gainer with Rs 5 or 4.55% gain. Whereas, NB Insurance Co. Ltd. (NBIL), closed at Rs 104, was the worst performer with Rs 11 or 9.57% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.40, topped with 92,760 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd. (CTBNL), closed at Rs 144, topped with 38,109 units. In terms of turnover also, CTBNL topped with turnover worth Rs 5,482,934 via 183 transactions. The most active Broker with the highest stand-alone dealing of CTBNL was Broker no 50 (Crystal Kanchanjungha Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 24.42%, tallying 18,582 units worth Rs 2,678,195 via 128 transactions which includes 53 matching transactions totaling 7,718 units worth Rs 1,112,932.
Altogether there were trade of 270,743 units of share via 796 transactions worth Rs 46,144,353; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 493,775.89 Millions.
