NEPSE MAKES CORRECTION; HEAVY PLUNGE IN NTC

After coming to add 23 points from the date of 4th July, 2013, the secondary market came to make correction of 8.97 points to close at 509.3 levels.
With the investors rush to capitalize the surge made by the Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC), closed at Rs 542, within the past week, the immense pressure dropped the scrip by a hefty amount of Rs 54 or 9.06%.
The scrip descend was the highest among the traded scrips today, which attributed into the overall market downfall scenario and huge tumble of 63.43 in Others sector.
Similarly, the Hydro also came to make a plummet of 19.03 points followed by Banking, Development and Finance with 0.47, 0.14 and a 1.22 point decline respectively.
Only Insurance and Hotels were the sectors to advance by 4.42 and 1.81 points respectively. As for Trading, it remained intact at 169.36 levels.
All in all, the scrips of 80 companies were traded, out of which 28 scrips gained, 16 remained intact and 36 scrips lost.
The best performer for the day was, Gaurishankar Development Bank Ltd. (GSDBL), closed at Rs 88, was the top gainer with Rs 5 or 6.02% gain. Among the scrips trading above par, Kailash Bikas Bank Ltd. (KBBL), closed at Rs 160, was the top gainer with Rs 6 or 3.9% gain.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.02, topped with 79,251 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Asian Life Insurance Co. Limited (ALICL), closed at Rs 247, topped with 39,704 units.
In terms of turnover also, ALCL topped with turnover worth Rs 9,928,736 via 26 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of EBL was Broker No 33 (Dachinkali Investment Securities Pvt. Ltd) with 76.89%; amounting Rs 15,268,626 via 6 transactions totaling 60,837 units which includes 4 matching transactions tallying 30,338 units worth Rs 7,614,488.
Overall 257,578 units of share were traded via 689 transactions worth Rs 53,878,652. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 505,630.94 Millions.
