NEPSE Makes All-Time High With Highest Daily Turnover in History

The NEPSE index gained 12.54 points today and closed at 2,827.93. This is the highest index-closing in the history of NEPSE. The index opened at 2,831.95 and made the intraday high at 2,854.45. While it went as low as 2,815.86, it ultimately closed at 2,827.93.
42,636,348 shares traded hands via 1,73,537 transactions. The trading of 219 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 17.028 Arba. This is the highest intraday turnover recorded in the history of NEPSE.
While the float index gained 1.59 points and closed at 195.02, the Sensitive index is at 507.05 after gaining 3.35 points.
National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 47.4 crores.
The 13 highest gainers have technically closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today. Most of them are hydropower companies.
On the other side of things, Barun Hydropower Company Limited (BARUN) lost the most 6.56%.
Seven sectors gained while six sectors lost today. Development Banks have gained a massive 7.39% while the Finance sector has gained an equally impressive 5.08%. On the other side of things, the sector "Others" has lost the most 2.49%.
