NEPSE Makes All-Time High at 3,079.67; Twelve Companies Hit Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 3,079.67 today after gaining an impressive 29.24 points from the last trading day's close. This is the highest index-closing in the history of Nepal's capital market. The previous record was at 3,058.63, created the day before yesterday.
The index opened at 3,030.51 and immediately made the intraday low at 3,002.10. However, it gained in the rest of the market session, going as high as 3,085.80. While it fell back to 3,079.67 at the session's closing, it is still the highest closing in the history of NEPSE.
A total of 32,355,260 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 15.17 Arba in the turnover amount. 225 scrips traded hands via 141,652 transactions.
The float index is at 215.29 after gaining 1.45 points while the Sensitive index is at 574.30 after gaining 3.19 points.
NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 49.04 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 1,056 per share. The units of Laxmi Unnati Kosh (LUK) traded the most. Today was the last trading day to grab the 25% cash dividend of LUK.
A total of twelve companies have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, Support Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) lost the most 5.42%.
Manufacturing and Products gained the most 4.74% in terms of sectorial gain. Meanwhile, Microfinance lost the most 2.06%.
