NEPSE Makes All-Time High at 3058.63; Nine Companies Hit Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 3,058.63 today after gaining an impressive 54.31 points from the last trading day's close. This is the highest index-closing in the history of Nepal's capital market. The previous record was at 3,025.82.
The index opened at 3,017.56 and did not trade at anywhere lower than that. It then closed at the intraday high, which is also the all-time high.
A total of 43,939,212 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 14.232 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than the previous trading sessions' turnover of Rs. 11.114 Arba. 223 scrips traded hands via 139,340 transactions.
The float index is at 214.69 after gaining 4.52 points while the Sensitive index is at 574.02 after gaining 11.74 points.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 49.5 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 509 per share. The units of Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) traded the most.
A total of nine companies have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, Kumari Equity Fund (KEF) lost the most 3.79%.
The Banking sector gained the most 3.43%. Mutual Funds lost the most 1.29%.
