NEPSE MAINTAIN ITS GANING MOMENTUM

Maintaining its prior week’s upward momentum, the market index today settle in the green terrain by advancing 0.18 points than last week’s closing level.

Fighting its way from the grips of the bearish path, the market index rallied its way up then kept on zigzagging in midst of 550 to 551 level before plunging below the opening level again. However, the swift recover at the end of the session, put the local bourse in green territory. The benchmark index at the end of the day closed at 550 levels.

Among the sub-indices, Insurance made the highest gain of 14.37 points followed by Banking with 0.48 points incline and Hotels with 0.38 points increase.

While, Others and Hydro tumbled by 2.35 and 2.92 points respectively. Likewise, Development declined by 0.87 points alongside 0.8 points plummet of Finance sectors.

All in all, the 111 scrips were traded, out of which 43 scrips gained, 10 remained intact and 58 scrips lost.

The best performers for the day was, Purnima Bikas Bank Limited (PURBL), closed at Rs 105, with Rs 7 or 7.14 percent gain. Whereas, Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), closed at Rs 322, was the top loser with Rs 21 or 6.12.

The share with the highest turnover this week was, Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), closed at Rs 1990, with 9,143 units worth Rs 18,042,534 which were carried by 44 transactions.

The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the NABIL was Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited with 49.31 percent; amounting Rs 17,793,215 via 12 transactions totaling 9,064 units which includes 4 matching transactions tallying 4,259 units worth Rs 8,354,848.

Overall, 437,377 units of share were traded by, 2,056 transactions worth Rs 135,578,414; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 552,028.52 million.
