NEPSE MAINTAIN ITS GANING MOMENTUM

Maintaining its prior rhythm, the secondary market of Nepal followed with a 4.81 points rally post week long Dashain holidays. Though the market participation was on the lower side, as only transaction worth Rs 40,174,281 was carried through 590 transactions totaling 88,363 units, the sentiment of the market was still upbeat.
By the end of the day, the market came to close at 571.8 levels. Last time, the NEPSE came near to this level was in the month of November, 2009.
Among the sub-indices, Banking also continued with its surge; the sector today climbed by 5.77 points. Similarly, Others also followed with 7.05 points gain.Likewise, Hydro and Insurance soared by 10.39 and 7.03 points respectively. While, Finance made a meager climb of 0.96 points.
As for Development, it dropped by 0.52 points and Manufacturing remained intact at 885.63 levels.
All in all, the 62 scrips were traded, out of which 35 scrips gained, 11 remained intact and 16 scrips lost.
The best performers for the day was, Union Finance Ltd. (UFCL), closed at Rs 108, with Rs 8 or 8 percent gain. Whereas, Diprox Development Bank (DBBL), closed at Rs 599, was the top loser with Rs 39 or 6.11 percent loss.
The share with the highest turnover this week was, Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), closed at Rs 2065, with 3,332 units worth Rs 6,806,734 which were carried by 11 transactions.
The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the NABIL was Broker No 13 (Thrive Brokerage House Pvt. Limited ) with 41.21 percent; amounting Rs 2,805,134 via 3 transactions totaling 1,374 units.
