NEPSE Lost 33.20 points In the First Trading Day of the Week: 6 Companies hit Negative Circuit

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,971.10 points, as the index experienced huge loss of 33.20 points or 1.65% compared to the previous day's closing. On, Wednesday the index experienced loss of 18.60 points.
The trading started with the index opening at 2,004.58 hitting an intraday low of 1,964.44, whereas intraday high was 2,005.32.
During today's trading, there were 284 different stocks traded in 82,378 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 6,656,732 with a total turnover of Rs. 1.83 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.88 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.53 Kharba.
Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited (CLI) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 14.73 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 457.20.
Similarly,Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL) with a gain of 6.07%.
On the flip side, 6 companies hit a negative circuit today.
In terms of sector indices, all sector indices closed red. "Hydropower Index" lost the highest 3.32% while "Banking Index" lost the least 1.07% today.
