NEPSE loses minimal 5.75 points in a fairly indecisive day; Four companies hit 10% positive circuit

The NEPSE index lost a minimal 5.75 points and closed at 2,061.41 today.

The index opened at 2,085.56 today. With the highest point at 2,100.96 and the lowest at 2,050.90, total intraday volatility of 50.06 points was witnessed during market hours. It seems that the index is testing the psychological barrier at the 2,100 level.

Furthermore, it should be noted that this is the third-highest index close in NEPSE's history. The new highest-close at 2,071.02 was made only a few days ago on 2nd December.

9,755,547 shares traded hands via 47,769 transactions. Trading of 205 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.06 Arba.

The float index lost 0.29 points and closed at 139.52 while the Sensitive index is at 387.42 after losing 0.74 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 52.38 crores. The shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) traded the most today.

The top five companies in the top-gainers list hit the 10% positive circuit today. This is the list of the top gainers:

Meanwhile, Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) lost the most 4.76%.

Banking, Microfinance, and Life Insurance gained today while all others lost. While Microfinance gained the most 1.86%, Trading lost the most 2.59%. Note how there isn't any aggressive movement on either of the sides. Perhaps it is safe to say that NEPSE was fairly indecisive today.
