NEPSE Loses Minimal 4.13 Points; Finance Sector Gains Huge

The NEPSE index lost 4.13 points today and closed at 2,823.87. The index opened at 2,835.66 and immediately made the intraday high at 2,844.02. However, it only lost after that, going as low as 2,782.21. Nonetheless, the index rebounded and closed at 2,823.87.
16,248,100 shares traded hands via 68,192 transactions. The trading of 220 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.83 Arba.
The float index is at 195.73 and the Sensitive index is at 522.37 after gaining 1.32 points.
The candlestick chart shows the index trading in the support zone at the 2,800 levels. Furthermore, the volume chart shows a gradual decline in intraday activity with each subsequent session. Chart readers may take this as the exhaustion of bearish sentiment. However, the past is never an accurate prediction of the future but only an approximation. Like always, the trail of the NEPSE index in the near future is a function of the never-ending tussle between bulls and bears.
Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 30.37 crores.
4 companies have technically closed at the upper limit of 10% intraday gain, and all of them are finance companies.
Meanwhile, Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC) lost the most 3.35%.
Seven sectors lost and six others closed green. While Investment lost the most 2.21%, the Finance sector gained the most 5.81%.
