NEPSE Loses Minimal 1.38 Points and Closes at 2,688.92; Intraday Turnover Declining

The NEPSE index closed at 2,688.92 today after losing a minimal 1.38 points from last Thursday's closing. The index had lost 59.57 points that day.

The index opened at 2,694.05 and made the intraday low at 2,668.07. While it went as high as 2,704.38, it ultimately closed at 2,688.92.

A total of 7,434,537 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.096 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 5.119 Arba. 230 scrips traded hands via 61,405 transactions.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 27.39 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 785 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of three scrips have technically gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) lost the most 10%, thereby hitting the negative circuit breaker.
