NEPSE Loses Marginal 3.42 Points to Close Red for 6th Consecutive Day; MEN and NRN Hit Negative Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 3.42 points, or 0.18%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,847.81 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 7.29 points for the index.
The trading day started with the index opening at 1848.71, hitting an intraday low of 1,843.37, and reaching an intraday high of 1,859.32.
During today's trading, there were 292 different stocks traded in 43,428 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 3,896,287 with a total turnover of Rs. 1.19 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 28.49 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 9.92 Kharba.
Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 7.46 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 300.20.
Similarly, Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) showed the highest gain of 8.06%, followed by NMB Debenture 8.50% - 2087/88 (NMBD87/88) with a gain of 5.98%.
On the flip side, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) and Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) experienced the highest loss of 9.99% today.
In terms of sector indices, 8 sector indices closed in the red with Banking and Other indices lost most with 0.62%. Meanwhile, Life Insurance Index gained highest by 0.97 percent.
