NEPSE Loses Insignificant 0.57%, Intraday Turnover Rises to Rs. 6.287 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,835.58 today after losing 16.3 points from yesterday's closing. This is a minimal loss of 0.57% on the index. The index had gained 15.69 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,877.58 today and made the intraday high at 2,921.18. While it went as low as 2,826.35, it ultimately closed at 2,835.58.

230 scrips traded hands via 71,340 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 12,053,751 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.287 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 5.022 Arba.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd. (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 35.85 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 574 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd (HIDCL) were traded the most.

Nepal Insurance Co. Ltd. (NICL) gained the highest 3.83% and closed at Rs. 920.

Meanwhile, Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) has lost the highest 6.27%. LEC closed at Rs. 389 today.

Five sectors indices gained while eight others closed red. "Mutual Fund" gained the highest 0.47% while "Hydropower" and "Investment" lost 1.54% each.
