NEPSE Loses in Double Digits Again; Turnover Declines to Rs. 7.03 Arba

The NEPSE index lost 16.96 points today and closed at 2,843.00. The index opened at 2,871.65 and went on a steep decline to the intraday low at 2,833.53. It then bounces back to the intraday high of 2,872.26 and ultimately closed at 2,843.00.

13,210,369 shares traded hands via 78,983 transactions. The trading of 219 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.03 Arba. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 8.362 Arba.

While the float index lost 0.9 points and closed at 196.44, the Sensitive index is at 525.64 after losing 3.17 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 37.76 crores.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) is the highest gainer today with a 9.88% intraday gain. Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) is the second-highest gainer with a 2.86% gain.

Hydropower, Hotels, and Tourism gained today. While Hydropower gained the most 1.97%, Development Bank lost the most 1.64%.
