NEPSE Loses in Double Digits Again, All Sector Indices Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,498.53 today after losing 14.88 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.59%. The index had lost 30.89 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,517.41 today and made the intraday high at 2,525.24. However, it couldn't sustain the rise, and the index quickly began losing from there. While it went as low as 2,497.48, it ultimately closed at 2,498.53.

226 scrips traded hands via 31,567 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,429,917 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.584 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.46 Arba.

Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.39 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,470 per share. The units of Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) traded the most.

Two scrips technically gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

On the other side of things, CITIZENS MUTUAL FUND 2 (CMF2) lost the highest 5.66%.

All sectors indices closed red today. "Non-Life Insurance" lost the highest 1.66%.
