NEPSE Loses Double Digits to Close at 2,165.10; Five Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The NEPSE index closed at 2,165.10 today after losing 13.71 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.63%. The index gained 5.71 points last Thursday.

Today the index opened at 2,184.77 and made an intraday high of 2,203.13. While it went as low as 2,162.83, it ultimately closed at 2,165.10.

257 scrips traded hands via 65,194 transactions. A total of 10,759,579 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.864 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 3.044 Arba.

Kumari Bank Ltd. (KBL) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 27.4 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 208.50 per share.

Five scrips gained all they could for the day.

On the other side of things, Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) lost the highest 7.79% today.

Two sector indices closed green, "Banking" gained the highest 1.08% while "Hydropower" lost the highest 2.42% today.
