NEPSE Loses Double Digits to Close at 2,039.54; Intraday Turnover Stands at Rs. 1.717 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,039.54 today after losing 18.30 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 0.89%. The index had gained 2.87 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,058.01 and went intraday high at 2,068.55. Then the index made intraday low at 2,035.69 and ultimately closed at 2,039.54.
219 scrips traded hands via 32,946 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,234,137 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.717 Arba in the turnover amount. This is a higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.526 Arba.
Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 11.24 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 223.7 per share.
Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) gained the highest 9.99% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) lost the highest 5.82% today.
All sector indices closed red, "Others" lost the highest 2.2% while "Non Life Insurance" lost the least 0.27%.
