NEPSE Loses 8.48 Points and Closes at 2,834.51; Turnover Declining With Each Subsequent Session

The NEPSE index lost 8.48 points today and closed at 2,834.51. The index opened at 2,854.88 and made the intraday high at 2,857.63. While it went as low as 2,832.56, it ultimately closed at 2,834.51.

10,842,221 shares traded hands via 60,175 transactions. The trading of 224 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.05 Arba. This is pretty lower than the usual turnover figure witnessed at recent times.

The float index is at 196.03 after losing 0.75 points and the Sensitive index is at 528.45 after losing 0.33 points.

Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 21.56 crores.

12% Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) has technically closed at the upper limit of 10% intraday gain while 10.25% Machhapuchchhre Debenture 2085 (MBLD2085) lost the most 5.38%.

Three sectors gained today and all others closed red. While Hotels and Tourism gained the most 2.36%, the Finance sector lost the most 1.76%.
