NEPSE Loses 8.24 Points from All-Time High; Seven Companies Hit Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 3,050.42 today after losing 8.24 points. NEPSE had broken the earlier all-time record yesterday by closing at 3058.63.

The index opened at 3,072.92 and immediately made the intraday high at 3,075.51. While it went as low as 3,041.94, it ultimately closed at 3,050.42.

A total of 37,061,447 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 14.139 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than the previous trading sessions' turnover of Rs. 14.232 Arba. 223 scrips traded hands via 137,242 transactions.

The float index is at 213.84 after losing 0.86 points while the Sensitive index is at 571.10 after losing 2.93 points.

Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 39.3 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 839 per share. The units of NMB50 traded the most.

A total of seven companies have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, 11% NIC Asia Debenture 2082/83 (NICAD8283) lost the most 7.22%.

Hydropower gained the most 3.35%. Meanwhile, Banking lost the most 2%.
