NEPSE Loses 7.73 Points and Closes at 2,653.70; Intraday Turnover Declines to Rs. 3.273 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,653.70 today after losing 7.73 points from last Thursday's closing. The index had lost 58.99 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,660.39 today and made the intraday low at 2,638.64. While it went as high as 2,680.35, it ultimately closed at 2,653.70.

224 scrips traded hands via 49,670 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 7,040,563 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.273 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 4.293 Arba.

UNIVERSAL POWER COMPANY LTD (UPCL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 20.44 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 375 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) gained the highest 4.53% and closed at Rs. 366. Meanwhile, Himalayan General Insurance Co. Ltd (HGI) has lost the highest 4.58%.

Only two sector indices have closed green today. "Hydropower" gained the highest 1.04% and "Manufacturing And Processing" lost the highest 1.09%.
