NEPSE loses 7.42 points and closes at 1,561.17; General Insurance hits 10% positive circuit in first trading day

The NEPSE index lost 7.42 points from yesterday's close and ultimately closed at 1,561.17.
NEPSE opened at 1,572.35, gained a tiny bit, and made the intraday high of 1,573.08. The market-close itself is the intraday low.
5,291,314 shares exchanged hands via 24,899 transactions. The trading of 195 scrips brought the total market turnover to Rs. 1.49 Arba.
The float index lost 0.51 points and closed at 108.62 while the Sensitive index is 309.75 at after losing 1.66 points.
Sanima Bank Limited (SANIMA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 7.25 crores. Meanwhile, the shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.
General Insurance Company Nepal Limited (GIC) and Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) technically hit a 10% positive circuit today. Today was GIC's first day of trading. GIC witnessed an immense volume of buy orders and practically no sellers today, hence causing the price to surge and hit the positive circuit.
On the other side of things, Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) lost the most 7.26%.
Only the Hotels sector gained 0.14% today while all other sectors lost. Development Banks lost the most 1.99%.
