NEPSE loses 7.21 points and closes at 1,553.62; Hydropower sector becomes the top gainer

The NEPSE index lost 7.21 points (0.46%) today and ultimately closed at 1,553.62.
The market-open is the intraday high and the market-close itself is the intraday low.
7,305,111 shares traded hands. In comparison, 6,997,420 shares were traded yesterday. 33,933 transactions produced a total turnover of Rs. 1.82 Arba. 192 scrips were traded.
The float index lost 0.54 points and closed at 107.86 while the Sensitive index is at 307.82 after losing 1.79 points.
Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL)'s shares produced the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 17.41 crores. Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC)'s shares traded the most.
A total of 10 companies hit a 10% positive circuit today (technically). They are Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI), Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA), Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL), Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL), United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL), Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL), Nepal Finance Limited (NFS), Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL), Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL), and Chhyangdi Hydropower Company Limited (CHL).
Interestingly, 9 of the 10 companies that technically gained 10% today are hydropower companies.
Meanwhile, Support Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) lost the most 3.62%.
Only three sectors gained today while all others lost. Hydropower gained the most 2.19% and Trading lost the most 2.24%.
