NEPSE loses 6.36 points and closes at 2,169.04; Total Intraday Turnover at Rs. 5.96 Arba

The NEPSE index lost 6.36 points and closed at 2,169.04. Although the index gained for the first 11 minutes, the overall direction of the market was downwards today.

The NEPSE index opened at 2,207.05 and managed to make an intraday high at 2,216.44. The index then lost gradually throughout the day, faring as low as 2,154. Nonetheless, the day finally concluded with the index at 2,169.04.

11,643,429 shares traded hands via 46,001 transactions. The trading of 202 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.96 Arba. While the float index lost 0.46 points and closed at 147.28, the Sensitive index is at 415.15 after losing 0.73 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 46.08 crores. The shares of Nepal Credit & Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) traded the most.

Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) technically hit a 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, National Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS) lost the most 5.84%.

Seven sectors lost and five others closed green. While Manufacturing/ Products lost the most 1.76%, Finance gained the most 0.64%.
