NEPSE Loses 60.02 Points and Closes at 2,876.59; All Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,876.59 today after losing 60.02 points from yesterday's closing. The index had lost 44.18 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,940.91 and immediately went on a steep plunge. While it went as low as 2,874.07, it ultimately closed at 2,876.59.

A total of 16,148,652 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.46 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 7.495 Arba. 225 scrips traded hands via 74,890 transactions.

United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 40.57 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 629 per share. The units of Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1) traded the most.

Sanima Life Insurance Company Limited (SLI) is the only company to have hit the positive 10% circuit today. On the other side of things, Life Insurance Corporation Nepal Limited (LICN) lost the most 6.06%.

All sectors have lost today. Finance lost the most 3.29%.
