NEPSE Loses 5.24 Points and Closes at 2,818.10 in Sluggish Market Activity

The NEPSE index lost 5.24 points today and closed at 2,818.10. The index opened at 2,829.99 and made the intraday high at 2.834.77. While it went as low as2,813.39, it ultimately closed at 2,818.10.

10,135,209 shares traded hands via 46,310 transactions. The trading of 220 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 4.224 Arba. This is the lowest turnover reported in the last 40 trading sessions.

The float index is at 194.33 after losing 0.5 points and the Sensitive index is at 526.75 after losing 1.97 points.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 35.87 crores.

Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) gained the most 8.31% while Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) lost the most 5.53%.

Five sectors gained today and all others closed red. While Non-Life Insurance gained the most 1.2%, the Investment sector lost the most 2.13%.
