NEPSE Loses 51.23 Points and Closes at 2,407.25; Only Two Sectors Close Green

The NEPSE index lost 51.23 points today and closed at 2,407.25. The index opened at 2,466.26 and briefly made an intraday high at 2,467.20. The index lost in intraday action today, going as low as 2,397.52. With this, total volatility of 69.68 points was observed in the trading session today.

9,903,704 shares traded hands via 60,973 transactions. The trading of 211 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 4.95 Arba.

While the float index lost 3.18 points and closed at 165.77, the Sensitive index is at 435.13 after losing 10.1 points.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 44.56 crores. Its shares also traded the most.

The four highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL) lost the most 9.86.

Two sectors gained today and all others closed red. While the "Hotels and Tourism" sector gained the most 2.54%, the "Trading" sector lost the most 5.41%.
