NEPSE Loses 47.49 Points; Finance Sector Takes a Hard Hit

The NEPSE index lost 47.49 points today and closed at 2,828.00. The index opened at 2,880.33 and immediately made the intraday high at 2,888.39. However, it only lost after that, going as low as 2,823.74. The index then closed very near the intraday low, i.e. at 2,828.00.

14,044,381 shares traded hands via 75,880 transactions. The trading of 223 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.72 Arba.

While the float index lost 3.23 points and closed at 195.74, the Sensitive index is at 523.70 after gaining 9.87 points.

Radhi Bidyut Company Limited (RADHI) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 49.83 crores.

Oriental Hotel Limited (OHL) gained the most 5.76%. Meanwhile, Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) has lost the most 8.55%.

Microfinance is the only sector that gained today, and that too, a minimal 0.51%. Among all other sectors that closed red, Finance lost the most 4.11%.
