NEPSE Loses 46.46 Points and Closes at 2,452.06 With Higher Market Activity

The NEPSE index closed at 2,452.06 today after losing 46.46 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.86%. The index had lost 14.88 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,507.77 today and did not trade higher. While it went as low as 2,434.56, it ultimately closed at 2,452.06.

228 scrips traded hands via 45,894 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 5,841,998 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.671 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.584 Arba.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.67 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 3,682 per share. The shares of Prime Commercial Bank Ltd. (PCBL) traded the most.

Two scrips technically gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

On the other side of things, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) lost the highest 10%. This is the stock's first red day in NEPSE after being listed.

Twelve of thirteen sectors indices closed red today. Only the "Hotels And Tourism Index" gained a minimal 0.5%. "Others" lost the highest 3.66%.
