NEPSE loses 4.47 points and closes at 1,636.17; Turnover surges to Rs. 2.84 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,636.17 points today, losing 4.47 points from yesterday's close. The index opened at 1,644.94 in the morning. Total volatility of 10.7 points was witnessed during market hours today, with the highest point being 1,645.08 and the lowest being 1,634.38.
9,123,896 shares traded hands via 35,335 transactions. 200 scrips traded to produce a total daily turnover of a little over Rs. 2.84 Arba. This is a significant surge in turnover compared to yesterday's turnover of Rs. 1.75 Arba.
The Float index lost 0.24 points and closed at 114.11 while the Sensitive index is at 324.36 after losing 2.14 points.
Prime Commercial Bank Limited (PCBL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 20.84 crores. The shares of Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) traded the most today.
Three companies hit a 10% positive circuit today: Sanima General Insurance Limited (SGI), Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited. (RRHP), and Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL). Today was SGI's second day of trading.
Meanwhile, Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) lost the most 8.5%, followed by Shiva Shree Hydropower Limited (SSHL) which lost 7.88%.
Only four sectors gained while eight others closed red. Hydropower gained the most 0.98% and Trading lost the most 1.53%.
