NEPSE loses 39.6 points and closes at 1,955.75; Declining Market Turnover; Only the Hydropower Sector closed green today

The NEPSE index lost 39.6 points and closed at 1,955.75 today.

The index opened at 2,006.4. Total volatility of 60.83 points was observed, with the highest point being 2,009.81 and the lowest being 1,948.98.

10,821,972 shares traded hands via 46,475 transactions. Trading of 201 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 4.74 Arba.

The float index lost 2.43 points and closed at 132.69 while the Sensitive index is at 371.71 after losing 8.47 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 42.42 crores. The shares of Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) traded the most today.

Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) and Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited (SJCL) hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) lost the most 5.56%, followed by Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) which lost 5%.

Only Hydropower gained a minimal 1.25% today. Meanwhile, Trading lost the most 4.87%.
