NEPSE Loses 39.4 Points and Closes at 2,693.10, Twelve of Thirteen Sector Indices Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,693.10 today after losing 39.4 points from last week's closing. The index had lost 1.94 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,713.52 today and created the intraday low at 2,670.39. While it went as high as 2,715.83, it ultimately closed at 2,693.10.

230 scrips traded hands via 57,004 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 7,122,299 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.086 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 2.278 Arba.

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Ltd (JBLB) had the highest turnover of Rs. 58.02 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 5,133 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) traded the most.

United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited. (UMRH) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker.

Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) has lost the highest 4.74% and closed at Rs. 521.

Only the "Others" sector index gained a minimal 0.42%. Among all other indices that closed red, "Life Insurance" lost the highest 2.44%.
