NEPSE Loses 3.22 Points and Closes at 2,731.78, Intraday Turnover Declining

The NEPSE index closed at 2,731.78 today after losing 3.22 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained 1.89 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,736.84 and made the intraday low at 2,721.38. While it went as high as 2,746.06, it ultimately closed at 2,731.78.

A total of 7,486,575 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.789 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.217 Arba. 233 scrips traded hands via 47,113 transactions.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 26.57 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,484 per share. The shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) traded the most.

Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) gained the most 9.27%. Meanwhile, Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBS) lost the most 6.93%.

Three sectors gained while ten others closed red. "Others" gained the most 0.91% and "Trading" lost the most 1.44%.
