NEPSE Loses 29.98 Points and Closes at 2,542.28, All Sector Indices Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,542.28 today after losing 29.98 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 41.43 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,574.12 today and made the intraday high at 2,580.26. However, it couldn't sustain the rise, and the index kept falling from there. While it went as low as 2,538.22, it ultimately closed at 2,542.28.

231 scrips traded hands via 42,712 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,958,914 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.545 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.989 Arba.

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Ltd (JBLB) had the highest turnover of Rs. 22.24 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 3,368 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) were traded the most.

A total of two scrips technically gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day. The IPO rookie NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NESDO) gained 6.1% on its first trading day in NEPSE and closed at Rs. 793.30.

On the other side of things, ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) lost the highest 4.82%.

All the thirteen sector indices closed red today. "Trading" lost the highest 2.46%.
