NEPSE loses 29.83 points; Hotels lead with 4.91% sector gain

The NEPSE index lost 9.83 points today and closed at 2,038.63. The index opened at 2,091.59 and lost in a steep decline. The intraday movement was downwards. The index made an intraday low at 2,025.65 and ultimately closed at 2,038.63.
9,860,536 shares traded hands via 47,976 transactions. Trading of 204 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.36 Arba. While the float index lost 2.04 points and closed at 139.65, the Sensitive index is at 386.76 after losing 3.74 points.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 61.49 crores. The shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) traded the most.

Both Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) and Oriental Hotel Limited (OHL) from the Hotel sector have gained over 5% and become top gainers today.

Meanwhile, Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) lost the most 8.11%.

Two sectors gained today while all others closed red. Hotels gained the most 4.91% while Life Insurance lost the most 3.06%.
